GENERAL LABORER – 2nd shift
AWESOME opportunities with Perfetti Van Melle – an exciting and innovative Confectionery Company in Loves Park LOOKING TO HIRE!
$18.50 per hour
- Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, PLUS daily and/or Saturday overtime as needed
- Schedules:
1:30pm to 10:00pm
1:50pm to 10:20pm
Reliable Furst employees who demonstrate strong performance, and a positive outlook will be considered for internal positions as they become available.
Some of the job responsibilities for the General Laborer include:
- Packaging line work - hand packing, sorting, labeling, stacking, off-loading
- Visual and physical inspection of product and packaging
- Weighing of raw material
- Feeding gum into various machines
- Transporting product and material
- Wiping down product materials and equipment
- General housekeeping of work area
- Courteous, effective communication
Physical requirements for the Packer / General Laborer include:
- Stand throughout shift excluding break periods
- Lift up to 42 pounds
- Reach, bend, twist, push, pull, walk up and down stairs
- Visual ability to inspect product and packaging
- Legible handwriting

During your FurstStaffing assignment, PVM will monitor reliability, outlook and performance. If consistently meeting expectations, you may be considered for a Generalist position with a base wage of $20/hr. Generalists perform a variety of tasks including machine operating and material handling.
Perfetti Van Melle considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, merit-based compensation review (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
