Help Desk Technician IT

Sign on bonus:$750 

We're looking for a service-oriented Help Desk Technician to join our IT team and ensure smooth daily operations for staff across our programs.

Job Summary:

The Help Desk Technician provides first-level technical support for all Unity House staff. This includes managing IT equipment, onboarding/offboarding employees, supporting video conferencing, maintaining inventory, and managing devices using Microsoft Intune.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Respond to help desk requests via phone, email, and ticketing system

•    Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and connectivity issues

•    Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, iPhones, and tablets

•    Use Microsoft Intune to manage and secure devices (Windows, iOS, macOS, Android)

•    Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes (accounts, devices, email, etc.)

•    Support Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, and other platforms

•    Maintain IT inventory and accurate documentation

•    Support special IT projects and organizational initiatives

Qualifications:

•    High School diploma or equivalent

•    1–3 years of experience in IT support or help desk role

•    Knowledge of Microsoft AD

•    Proficiency with Windows, macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, and Intune

•    Strong troubleshooting

•    Valid NYS Driver License and reliable transportation

Preferred:

•    Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools

•    Familiarity with nonprofit IT resources (e.g., TechSoup, Microsoft Nonprofit)

•    Basic understanding of networking and security best practices
