\nThe Operating Room Surgical Technician assists with surgical instruments in the OR based on procedure performed, standards, guidelines, and policies set for the unit. He/she functions under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and surgeon. \n
\n
\n

• Provides safe and efficient patient transport

• Implements and follows plan of care

• Maintains a Safe Surgical Environment.

• Maintains a Clean and Orderly Work Environment
\n
• Department support for Daily Activities

Education:\n
\n

\n
• HS diploma, Graduate of approved surgical tech school, unless LPN with a minimum of 2 years surgical experience
\n

Experience:\n
\n

\n
• Prefer experience in OR or SPD but not required
\n

\n
License:\n
\n

\n
• LPN if not a Graduate of approved Surgical Tech School
\n

\n
Certifications:\n
\n

\n
• American Heart Association BLS.
