Barnsco Texas is seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy-duty construction equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on mechanic who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in quality work, and wants steady hours with bonus upside.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on construction equipment
• Inspect and service forklifts, tractors, and trailers
• Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, safety checks)
• Prepare and submit repair bids and work orders
• Complete required inspections and documentation accurately and on time
• Assist customers with equipment service needs
• Communicate effectively with the Equipment Service Manager
• Support training of new mechanics as needed
• Perform road calls and emergency service when required

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction equipment or rental maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and understand schematics
• Computer-assisted diagnostic experience
• Ability to start and operate equipment safely
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and climb on/off equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• High School diploma or GED
