Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Polson, Montana.

Shift: Day | 5x8 Hours (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) (4x10 schedule may be considered)
On-Call Requirement: Approximately 8 call shifts per month, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across Pre-Op, Operating Room, PACU (Phase I & II), and Endoscopy. \n
- Perform preoperative patient assessments, verify informed consent, complete Universal Protocol (Time-Out), and prepare patients for surgery. \n
- Circulate a wide variety of surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient safety. \n
- Circulate Cesarean Section (C-Section) procedures (required). \n
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during orthopedic, general surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, GI, dental, pain management, and endoscopic procedures. \n
- Monitor patients receiving conscious sedation and continuously assess hemodynamic status throughout procedures. \n
- Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and perform peripheral IV insertion as required. \n
- Handle, label, and transport surgical specimens according to facility policies. \n
- Provide Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery care, monitor post-anesthesia patients, and prepare patients for discharge. \n
- Perform urinary catheterization, wound management, infection prevention, laser safety, radiation safety, and emergency response procedures. \n
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, PACU staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. \n
- Document patient care accurately using Epic and assist throughout the entire perioperative process from admission through discharge. \n
- Float within Surgical Services as needed while working within RN scope of practice. \n

- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room/Perioperative RN experience. \n
- Critical Access Hospital experience required. \n
- Current BLS certification. \n
- Current ACLS certification. \n
- Current PALS certification. \n
- NIHSS certification preferred. \n
- Must have experience circulating C-Sections (Hard Stop). \n
