About this job

Through fundraising events, wish-grant experiences, and community partnerships, CCS brings hope, joy, and meaningful moments to children and families when they need it most—led by our official spokes-bear, Adventure Ted.

Childhood Cancer Society is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Events & Community Engagement Intern to join our growing Events Department. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting nonprofit fundraising events, community outreach, and wish-grant reveals across the country.

This role is primarily remote, with potential opportunities to assist on-site at select events for interns located near event locations (primarily New Jersey, New York, Florida, and other major markets).

Interns will work closely with CCS leadership and other members of the Events Department to help plan, promote, and execute meaningful experiences that directly impact families affected by pediatric cancer.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Communications, Media, Art) to support event promotion

  • Assist with post-event wrap-ups, including thank-you outreach and recap materials

  • (If local to events) Assist on-site with setup, guest check-in, and general event support
