Water Resources Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 - Part-time

Job Description

OVERVIEW

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our Atlanta, GA office.

YOUR ROLE

• Assist with hydraulic and drainage design or any other assignments.
• Assist with and develop plans and drawings, which may include the development of functional, preliminary, Right of Way and final design packages.
• Assist with the preparation of construction cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and collect site information as needed.
• Perform such other duties as the supervisor may require.

ABOUT YOU

• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred). Experience with ArcGIS and OpenRoads is a plus.
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: None.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
