Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position at an academic medical center in Albany, NY, requiring Epic proficiency and a valid NY RN license.

Details\n

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
\n
• Float Pool role within a large academic medical center (600+ beds)
\n
• 13-week contract
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• Rotating holiday coverage required
\n
• No blocked scheduling permitted
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active NY State RN license required at time of consideration
\n
• AHA or RQI certifications required
\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
\n
• 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital may be considered with a passing competency test score
\n
• Epic EMR experience required — candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
\n
• US Social Security Number required
\n
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
\n
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be accepted
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Candidates residing in the following counties are ineligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
\n
• Candidates with less than 2 years of Med/Surg experience must pass a competency test (2 attempts allowed); those with 2+ years are exempt from testing
\n
• Navy blue scrubs are required
\n
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
\n
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
\n
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
