Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Step-Down position requiring tracheostomy and stepdown experience, with night shift availability and Epic proficiency.

• Med/Surg Specialty Step-Down unit in a hospital setting
\n
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
\n
• Tracheostomy care is performed in this unit
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
\n
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
\n
• Current ACLS certification from the AHA required
\n
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
\n
• Med/Surg Step-Down experience required
\n
• Tracheostomy experience required
\n
• ICU experience preferred
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
\n

• Provides nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
\n
• Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating discharge planning with patients and families
\n
• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members
\n
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract + one extension) before being eligible to apply again
\n
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screen, background check, medical requirements) is strictly enforced and must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — non-compliance may result in cancellation
