Job Overview
Peoples Construction Corporation is conducting a targeted search for an experienced design build leader to oversee and grow our commercial and industrial design build operations. This is a senior level role responsible for guiding projects from early concept and client engagement through design coordination, budgeting, and successful execution.

The Director of Design Build Construction will play a critical role in shaping strategy, improving processes, and maintaining the high standards that have defined Peoples Construction for nearly 60 years. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, mentor teams, and directly influence the future of a respected family owned contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all design build operations for commercial and industrial projects

• Meet with clients to evaluate needs and develop design build solutions and proposals

• Direct budgeting, estimating, planning, and design coordination efforts

• Oversee preparation of plans, specifications, and pricing documents

• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

• Build and enhance reporting systems to track project progress, timelines, and performance

• Identify and implement process improvements, software, and systems to improve efficiency

• Support site selection and early project feasibility efforts

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, community leaders, and industry partners

• Represent the company professionally in client meetings and industry settings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related field

• Minimum five years of experience in commercial general contracting with design build leadership responsibility

• Deep understanding of design build delivery methods and construction processes

• Experience with VDC, CAD, and modern construction technology tools

• Strong knowledge of site selection and early project planning

• Proven ability to manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement

• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

• Strategic, forward thinking, and self directed professional

Compensation and Benefits
