Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position, requiring a TX or compact RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities- Work in the Telemetry Unit of a short-term acute care hospital
- Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds
- Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)
- Expected patient ratios are 1:4.5
- Required to work six weekends in a six-week period
- Floating required between units and to other facilities within the state
- Epic EMR is used and required
- Adhere to solid navy blue uniform or scrub attire requirements (no print tops allowed)
- No on-call required for this position
- All travelers must be willing to float if needed per facility policy
- Minimal to no time off (RTO) is preferred for contract consideration; all time off requests must be submitted at the time of application
- Free parking available in designated employee/visitor lots
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- At least 2 supervisory references from the last three years within a comparable specialty/setting are required for consideration
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months to return as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
