Assistant Superintendent

Summary:

We are representing a general contractor actively seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support two affordable housing infill projects in North Los Angeles County. These are 4–5 story, wood-framed multifamily apartment buildings located on adjacent parcels (50–70 units each). The ideal candidate has prior experience assisting in the delivery of infill or podium-style projects in dense urban areas and is ready to step up in a fast-paced, hands-on role.

This is a long-term opportunity working on a federally funded developer program in enterprise zones, with consistent project flow and strong mentorship from senior field leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day site activities

• Help coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and jobsite logistics

• Monitor project progress to ensure schedules are met

• Participate in safety walks, inspections, and compliance reporting

• Communicate regularly with PMs, Project Engineers, and trade partners

• Assist with documentation including daily reports, photos, and punch lists

• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant jobsite

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of construction experience, preferably on multifamily or infill projects

• Comfortable working in tight urban sites with limited laydown and staging

• Familiar with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Based in Los Angeles or willing to work in North LA County

• Framing and wood construction knowledge is a plus
