Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a “Registered Dietitian” to support one of our client’s healthcare systems in Bronx, NY. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to gain experience in a well-regarded healthcare environment!

Job Description

• Job Title: Registered Dietitian
• Location: Bronx, NY
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (5x8s)
• Shift: Day
• Pay Range: $46.50 – $51.80/hour DOE

Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to join a food and nutrition services team at a large healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, be able to perform timely nutrition assessments, and provide individualized education and dietary planning. This position plays a vital role in supporting patient recovery and promoting long-term health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen and assess patients to determine nutritional needs and status.
• Interpret clinical and laboratory data related to nutrition care.
• Provide nutrition education to patients and families, including food/drug interaction guidance.
• Document patient diet instructions and understanding in the medical record.
• Modify patient menus and consult with physicians as needed.
• Conduct follow-up care and ongoing nutritional evaluations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition from an accredited institution.
• For acute care: Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
• For post-acute/long-term care: NY State Certification as “Dietitian-Nutritionist” required at time of hire.
• AHA BLS: Preferred
• Master’s degree: Preferred
• Primary source verification: Required
