Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida PT license is required to start the assignment.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• Willingness to work on the IRF unit.
• Clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills applicable to acute care and IRF populations.
• Ability to provide evaluations, treatments, discharge planning, family training, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
• Experience with hospital or IRF settings is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stroke and neuro rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as Meditech preferred.
• Experience using therapy equipment such as Vector, LiteGait, and ADL training areas preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800-1630.
• Day shift staffing model supporting patient care needs.
• Patient volumes typically: 4 patients/day in IRF, 8–12 patients/day in acute care.
• Facility uses Meditech EMR.
• May be expected to support therapy services across the facility.
• One weekend shift per month policy.
