At Generations Home Care, we have a strong passion for serving the greater Spokane community. We are currently seeking compassionate individuals to join our team of caregivers. Experience in home care is preferred, but we will provide training for the right person with a genuine desire to help others.

WE OFFER:

  • $20-23/hr with an additional +$4/hr for short shifts (a shift that is 2-3 hours long)
  • Make $40.00 for doing a 1-hour bathing shift
  • Earn $5.00 to $9.00 more per hour for couples care
  • Your wage is determined by skill level/experience and license
  • Part-time, full-time, and on-call positions are available

Responsibilities:

  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting
  • Working hands-on with activities of daily living tasks:   
    • Ambulation/Transfers
    • Bathing
    • Incontinence Care
    • Dressing/Grooming
    • Eating
    • Toileting
  • Serving clients with instrumental activities of daily living: 
    • Cooking (Meal Prep)
    • Light Housework
    • Errands
    • Medication Reminder
    • Laundry
    • Pet Care
    • Transporting to Appointments
  • Ability to act quickly and responsibly to report cases of emergency and client change of condition

Qualifications:

  • Credentials-Current CNA OR HCA license Washington State, or the ability to complete the required training within 120 days of hire
  • Education- High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year, preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation 
  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment to enforce health and safety standards
  • Ability to read, write and speak English 
  • Pass a criminal background check 
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job-related duties
  • Available to work at least 1 weekend day per month
  • Hoyer Lift and Gait Belt experience (specific to client) a plus
  • Being self-managed and self-directed
