Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist customers with wine selections, offering pairing recommendations and sharing product knowledge.
- Stock and replenish wine shelves in an organized and timely manner.
- Maintain clean, appealing, and fully stocked displays throughout the department.
- Set up promotional displays and signage in accordance with company standards.
- Receive deliveries and transport wine cases safely to designated storage or display areas.
- Operate tools and equipment safely, such as pallet jacks, box cutters, and carts.
- Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock or out-of-stock items to supervisors.
- Ensure all wine areas meet safety, sanitation, and visual merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with team members and support other departments when needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Interest or experience in wine (retail or hospitality experience is a plus!).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in English is required; Spanish skills are a plus.
- Non-slip shoes are required for safety (not provided).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk for long periods during shifts.
- Lift, push, and pull items up to 50 pounds (cases of wine).
- Bend, reach, twist, and move frequently.
- Use hands for tools like box cutters and scanners.
- Ability to read labels and signage clearly.
- Hear customers and team members in a busy environment.
- Use small ladders or step stools when stocking.
- Work in varying temperature environments, including wine coolers.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Follow all safety guidelines and ask for assistance when needed.
