Summary Statement:
The host person is essential to servicing all the guests at Kusa Nori. The host person shall greet welcome all the guests to be seated in the restaurant. The host person will have full knowledge of the reservation process and confirm with all guests.
Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to:
- Greet and welcome all guests upon entering the venue.• Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.• Bid farewell to all guests upon departing and extend an invitation to return to visit soon.• Oversee daily restaurant reservations and pre-seating assignment, when necessary.• Answer restaurant telephone courteously, quickly and efficiently.• Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.• Rotate to other Food Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.• Ensure all Resorts World core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.• Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.• Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review company documents, etc.• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.• Ability to effectively communicate in English.• Polished appearance and demeanor.• Excellent customer service skills.• Ability to obtain maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a Host person or a Server in a similar or related field. • Working knowledge of restaurant table management software system(s).• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Must be 21 years of age• At least six months customer service experience.• Working knowledge of restaurant operations.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.• Position required licenses:• Food Handler Card• Alcohol Awareness Card
