The Sales Support Intern will work closely with Riddell’s Sales Support Specialists to gain hands-on experience in order management, systems troubleshooting, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination. This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn how orders move through a sales organization and to assist in resolving issues that impact sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Interns will gain exposure to key business systems (such as SAP and the Sales Portal), learn to analyze sales and account data, and support communication between Sales, Operations, and IT. This role is ideal for students interested in sales operations, business processes, customer experience, or systems support.
Essential Functions (other duties as assigned)
- Assist the Sales Support Specialists in monitoring the order flow lifecycle, ensuring orders move accurately from entry to shipment
- Support the identification and resolution of common order holds (e.g., credit issues, missing purchase orders, artwork questions, incomplete data)
- Assist in the order entry process for apparel, hard goods, and reconditioning when needed
- Learn to run and interpret reports to help monitor operational workflow, bottlenecks, and trends
- Help document FAQs, process walk-throughs, and troubleshooting guides for sales reps using Hybris, our sales portal, or SAP-related workflows
- Assist with basic troubleshooting for order-related questions, account status updates, or system navigation issues
- Contribute ideas and feedback to help improve sales processes, system usability, and order efficiency
- Participate in special projects including but not limited to system enhancements, data cleanup, and improved communication
Job Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Interest in business systems; familiarity with SAP is a plus (training provided)
