Position Summary: The Ticket Office Sales Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while selling tickets, passes, and memberships for the resort’s attractions, events, and facilities. This position handles all aspects of ticketing transactions, guest inquiries, and entry operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for every visitor. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and detail-oriented, with strong communication and cash-handling skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ticket Sales and Guest Service:
- Greet all guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival at the ticket office.
- Accurately sell tickets, wristbands, passes, and special event admissions using the resort’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Provide guests with detailed information about pricing, promotions, events, and attraction options.
- Assist with online ticket redemption, group reservations, and pre-purchased packages
- Handle guest concerns or questions promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Cash Handling and Transactions:
- Process payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, vouchers, and digital transactions.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and complete end-of-shift reconciliations according to resort policy.
- Follow all financial and security procedures for handling money and confidential guest information
- Report discrepancies or transaction errors to management immediately.
- Customer Communication and Support:
- Provide clear and accurate information about resort attractions, operating hours, rules, and amenities.
- Direct guests to appropriate resort areas, such as entrances, restrooms, food service, or guest relations.
- Assist with group check-ins, membership renewals, and special event admissions.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude, creating a welcoming environment for guests of all ages.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all entry procedures are followed, including guest wristband verification and re-entry policies.
- Maintain awareness of crowd flow and assist in managing lines to promote safety and efficiency.
- Report any suspicious activity, lost property, or guest concerns to management promptly.
- Adhere to resort policies, confidentiality standards, and code of conduct at all times.
- Administrative and Operational Support:
- Assist with data entry, ticket inventory, and daily sales reports.
- Keep ticket counters, work areas, and displays clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Support promotional events or marketing efforts, such as handing out flyers or providing information.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Attractions, Guest Services, Security) to ensure smooth operations.
- Teamwork and Communication:
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient ticket office operations.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and briefings as required.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding guest trends, system issues, or process improvements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Additional coursework in business, hospitality, or customer service (preferred).
Experience:
- Previous experience in ticket sales, cashiering, or customer service (preferred).
- Experience in a resort, theme park, or entertainment venue is a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling money and transactions.
- Ability to operate POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
- POS or cash-handling training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks such as typing, scanning, and handling tickets.
- Must be able to lift or carry up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable working indoors with potential outdoor exposure when assisting with entry operations.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed primarily indoors within a ticket booth or entry office environment.
- May involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions during peak seasons or events.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts based on resort activity and attendance levels.
