What You’ll Do
The Spray Up General Laborer plays a key role in our Zumbrota production facility. You’ll help create precast concrete products by preparing forms, operating spray guns, rolling out concrete, and supporting daily production activities. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and values working as part of a team.
Production & Casting
- Prepare and set up steel forms for concrete spray operations (oil, square ends, move into place).
- Operate spray gun and roll out concrete onto forms.
- Strip finished products from forms and clean molds for reuse.
- Start, stop, and fill pumps; troubleshoot simple equipment issues.
- Shovel or load raw materials (sand, cement, fiberglass) into hoppers or containers.
Safety & Quality
- Follow safety requirements and use PPE at all times.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
Teamwork & Support
- Work collaboratively to meet daily production goals.
- Operate forklifts as needed to move forms and materials.
- Support other production duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility with changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs frequently and occasionally more.
- Previous manufacturing, construction, or concrete experience is a plus — but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting (25–50 lbs).
- Work near moving equipment in a loud, industrial environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay range: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
