Job Summary
As a part-time Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff, clients, and visitors during afternoon hours. You will monitor and patrol premises, control access, and respond to incidents as needed. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of the premises.
- Access Control: Control and monitor access to the facility, checking credentials and ensuring only authorized personnel enter.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, and take appropriate action as per established procedures.
- Report Writing: Maintain detailed and accurate records of security events, incidents, and observations. Prepare reports for management as necessary.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with fellow security personnel, management, and emergency services as required.
- Equipment Operation: Operate security equipment such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms.
- Inventory: Assist in managing and maintaining employee device inventory.
- Policy Adherence: Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.
- Employee Support: Issue employee badges to new hires and assist with basic safety training.
- Vehicle Patrol (if applicable during shift):
- Operate company vehicles for site patrols.
- Ensure vehicles are used strictly for official business.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Report any vehicle issues promptly.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Security Guard or in a related role preferred.
- State-required security guard license.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Physical agility to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Adequate vision and hearing to monitor safety concerns.
