Personal Care Aide (PCA) -Part-Time

Job Summary:

As a PCA, you�ll be a trusted companion and supportive presence for seniors, providing personal care, assistance, and companionship. This role offers meaningful, steady work in a collaborative, people-focused environment.

Hourly Wage:

• $15.50 /hr. to start - $16.50 after 90 days

Schedules Available:

• Weekdays 8:00 am -11:00 am, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm every other weekend
• Weekdays 4:00 - 7:00pm, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm every other weekend

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, supervision, and companionship
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, transfers, and incontinence care
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Travel to participant homes and escort participants to appointments
• Prompt and monitor medications as appropriate
• Report participant needs or changes to the care team
• Document care in AlayaCare accurately and consistently
• Support quality improvement initiatives and follow interdisciplinary team plans
• Build strong relationships, offering comfort, dignity, and respect

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Genuine empathy and commitment to elderly care
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
• Calm, patient, and consistent in providing care
• Independent decision-making when needed, rooted in team consensus

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain at employer�s expense)
• One year of experience with frail or elderly populations preferred, or willingness to complete company-paid training

Requirements:

• Minimum age 18
• Valid driver�s license with a clean record
• Successful completion of background checks, drug screening, physical, and TB screening

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move throughout the day and assist with participant mobility
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move at least 25 pounds
• Ability to assist with participant evacuation if needed
• Ability to follow proper safety protocols in participant homes
