Position Summary – Laser Operator
Pinnacle Precision Sheet Metal is currently seeking individuals who are experienced in laser operations. This role is responsible for assuring the efficient operation of day-to-day laser center tasks which include operating laser, in-process checks of machined features, and timely communication of all concerns/issues. Understand tolerance requirement and the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and height gage.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Loading and editing machine programs
- Load materials in sheet bays
- Maintaining cutting quality and feed rates
- General laser maintenance.
- Keeping user area maintained and clean
- Advanced laser maintenance
- Pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical repair
- Window changing/focal depth
- External optical path cleaning
- Make sure all products meet required quality standards
- Read and understand manufacturing sketches and blueprint
- Before starting work, review the work order and make sure that all prior processes are signed off and completed
- Notify supervisor if any tools, equipment or safety gear is damaged or inoperable
- Follows all safety rules and reports any safety concerns
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience of operating CNC Laser Machine.
- Able to read and interpret detailed, engineered drawings.
- Able to use precision inspection tools to verify work.
- Work independently as well as promoting a team environment.
- Must be a US citizen and able to read & write in English.
Work Environment
- This job operates on the floor of a manufacturing facility.
Physical Demands
- Stand continuously and lift objects up to 50lbs.
