We are looking for a competent, outgoing, and expert multitasker who is excited to work within the poker industry. Poker Hosts are the face of Texas Card House. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you! Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract guests.

This role will be in-person at the respective Texas Card House location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet players with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel welcome upon arrival.
- Provide detailed information about current game offerings, table limits, and game types available.
- Answer player inquiries regarding cardroom rules, minimum buy-ins, and general procedures.
- Assist players in finding suitable games and managing their placement on the waitlist.
- Offer thoughtful suggestions for players waiting for a seat, such as directing them to the lounge, coffee bar, or available alternative games to enhance their experience.
Job Details:
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Pay: Starts at $12/hr + tips

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year customer service experience (Required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a genuine desire to provide excellent service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of poker (a plus, but not required).
Work Environment:
Casino gaming environment with noise, bright lights, and high-energy atmosphere.
Shift availability:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekends/Holidays as needed
Physical Requirements:
- This position is an on-site, in-person role.
- Mobility/Endurance: Requires working shifts that can last several hours with prolonged periods of repetitive motions, sitting, standing, and walking throughout the facility.
- Vision: The ability to observe multiple poker tables simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Communication: Frequent interaction with guests, requiring clear communication and customer service skills.
- Environment: Comfort working in a loud, busy environment with background noise from the poker games.
- Dexterity: Needed to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
- Vision: Ability to monitor the games and respond to guest needs.
- Hearing: Ability to monitor the games and address guest needs.
- Flexibility to work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the operational needs of the poker room.
