Commercial Door Hanger - Full-time

We are an established and respected General Contracting Company seeking an experienced Commercial Door Hanger with construction experience to fill a key role in the Southern or Northern California area. POSITION SUMMARY

The Commercial Door Hanger is responsible for performing skilled installation work in commercial retail environments, with a primary focus on door hanging and interior finishes. This role requires 2–5 years of commercial construction experience, strong knowledge of retail construction standards, and the ability to work predominantly night shifts while traveling to multiple job sites. The position demands proficiency with tools, plan reading, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. Additional expertise in commercial steel stud framing and large-scale retail door installations is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commercial door hanging and installation across retail environments.
  • Experience in Commercial Door installation for Wal-Marts, Vons, Albertsons, Safeway, CVS etc. is a PLUS.
• Install ceiling tiles, T-bar systems, drywall, baseboards, cabinetry, and other interior finishes.
• Complete drywall taping and finishing with precision.
• Experience in Commercial Steel Stud Framing is a plus
• Assist with commercial steel stud framing when required.
• Read and interpret construction plans accurately.
• Use and maintain tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and subcontractors to complete projects on schedule.

• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean driving record and operate vehicles responsibly.
• Uphold a drug-free workplace standard.
• Ensure compliance with all site-specific requirements and safety regulations

Qualifications and Preferred Education

• A Minimum of 2-5 years' experience of Commercial Door Hanging
  
• Must be able to work 90% Nights
• Must be able to Travel
