Ambulance Medical Biller

First Rescue Ambulance in Irwindale is actively hiring for qualified candidates who have at least two years of ambulance medical billing experience.

JOB DUTIES:

• Process claims for BLS and CCT level ambulance transports
• Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required
• Verify insurance eligibility for all patient accounts
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Regulations and Billing Guidelines.
• Basic Knowledge of Commercial, PPO, and HMO Regulations and Billing Guidelines.
• Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients and clients
• Collection calls and/or correspondence with external clients or patients for payments
• Ability to assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes
• Ability to understand EOB to ensure claims are paid according to contractual guidelines
• Call insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
