What You’ll Do as a Sawyer/Tree Grounds Person:

• Operate a chainsaw safely and efficiently for cutting and processing wood.
• Assist in yard cleanup, brush dragging, and chipping.
• Set up and maintain a safe job site, including placing road signs and cones.
• Support climbers and operators by managing ropes, rigging, and ground operations.
• Create and maintain a tool zone to keep work areas organized and efficient.
• Maintain and service chainsaws and other tree care equipment.
• Observe tree felling operations and ensure site safety.
• Keep the worksite clean and free of hazards.
• Make independent decisions in the field to support efficiency and safety.
• Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and your team.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with crew members.
• Read and write English at a level necessary for job performance and safety compliance.

What You Need to Succeed:

✅ Ability to run and maintain a chainsaw safely.
✅ Strong work ethic and willingness to work hard in an outdoor environment.
✅ Ability to lift heavy materials, drag brush, and work in all weather conditions.
✅ Knowledge of rigging and tree removal techniques (preferred but not required).
✅ Ability to follow safety regulations and best practices.
✅ Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting.
✅ Experience in tree care, landscaping, or outdoor labor is a plus.

Compensation & Schedule:

💰 Competitive Pay: Based on experience and skill level $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
📅 Full-Time Position: Monday – Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm
