American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a tertiary hospital setting, requiring 1+ year of general IR experience and ARRT (R) certification.
Details\n- \n
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a tertiary hospital \n
- Daily caseload of 4 cases per technologist \n
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM \n
- On-call required on a rotation with two other techs \n
- Weekend coverage required every third weekend \n
- No floating required to other units or sister facilities \n
- Uses Epic for charting \n
- \n
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in general Interventional Radiology required \n
- Neuro IR experience preferred \n
- BLS and ARRT (R) certification required \n
- SCQRSA certification required \n
- License required if applicable \n
- Radiation badge required, to be provided by the traveler's agency \n
- Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, infection control, and sterile technique \n
- Lead tech experience preferred \n

- First-time travelers will be considered for this position \n
- OR scrubs provided by the facility \n
- Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs, though not guaranteed \n
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted \n
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility system for 1 year before returning as a traveler \n
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as approval is based on facility needs \n
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks \n
- Located in a hurricane-prone region; all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September) \n
