Team Embrey is looking for an ESTIMATOR to support our construction estimating team.
As an ESTIMATOR, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Estimator with analyzing drawings and providing well organized and detailed quality take-offs and bid tabs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned.
- Produce accurate quantity take-offs.
- Create bid tabs to ensure project specific scope is accounted for.
- Produce Qualifications & Exclusions list for all trades assigned.
- Prepare bid documents for upload, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure that EMBREY has the proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day and maintains a call list for all assigned trades.
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors for each market.
- Assist in maintaining all project estimate files in their proper format and location.
- Ensure estimates are being produced using the correct plans and information.
- Identify and prepare thorough documentation to include within a Corrections & Clarifications list.
- Identify scope items that could lead to problems and present solutions for resolving any gaps or overlaps with other members of the estimating team.
- Build project bid books complete with bid tabs and subcontractor proposals.
Qualifications
- 1 - 5 years of experience in construction estimating
- Multi-family experience, preferred
- Experience utilizing SmartBid, Microsoft Suite, On Screen Take Off, Destini, and Bluebeam
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field
- Valid Driver’s License
Required Testing
- Criminal Background Check, Non DOT Testing, MVR
