Position Summary: Production Operator
1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts available! Monday-Friday & Weekends
2nd Shift Hours: 2 pm - 10:15 pm
Pay: $26hr.+ depending on shift and experience

Key Objectives and Responsibilities
- Reactor/kiln Operations
- Operate reactor kiln(s) that converts woodchips into charcoal/biochar
- Assist engineering team with assembly, disassembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, experimentation, and more
- Site operations
- Moving piles of biomass (e.g., woodchips) and charcoal with conveyors
- Loading semi-trailers using a front-end loader
- Interacting with suppliers making deliveries
- Assist operations team with SOP’s and documentation
Job Qualifications
Technical Skills & Experience
Tool Proficiency: Extensive experience operating a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Measurement Accuracy: Strong tape measurement skills with the ability to take precise measurements and translate them to project tasks.
Mechanical Aptitude: Demonstrably mechanically inclined with a natural ability to understand, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery or equipment.
Equipment Operation (Preferred): Prior experience operating heavy equipment is highly desirable.
Safety Certification (Preferred): Possession of an OSHA 10-Hour Construction or General Industry card.
General Requirements
Basic Mathematics: Ability to perform fundamental calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and work with fractions/decimals.
Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills for data entry, time tracking, or navigating internal software.
Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical & Compliance Standards
Physical Fitness: Ability to pass a Physical Fit Test (Functional Capacity Evaluation) ensuring you can meet the physical demands of the role (e.g., lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and a drug screen.
