Auto Parts Sales Associate

Job Summary: We are seeking a customer-focused Auto Parts Sales Associate to provide excellent service and expertise in recommending and selling automotive parts and accessories. This role requires product knowledge, strong communication skills, and a commitment to helping customers find the right solutions for their vehicle needs.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
• Process parts orders, look up parts using electronic catalogs, and ensure accuracy in parts identification.
• Provide detailed information about automotive parts, including features, benefits, and compatibility.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked parts display area.
• Monitor and manage parts inventory, assisting with receiving, stocking, and cycle counting.
• Work collaboratively with service technicians to fulfill their parts requests promptly.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or issues regarding parts or service.
• Stay up-to-date with new automotive parts, accessories, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven experience in automotive parts sales or a related customer service role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and their functions.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using electronic parts catalogs and inventory management systems.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and experience with POS software.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
