Compensation ranges from $35 to $40 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the CNC department, including machinists, and operators.
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule jobs to meet production and customer delivery targets.
- Ensure all machined parts meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee machine maintenance and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on fixture design, tool selection, and continuous process improvements.
- Develop and implement machining processes for new parts.
- Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and lean manufacturing.
- Train and mentor staff to ensure skill development and consistent performance.
- Track department KPIs, downtime, and performance metrics.
- Manage tooling inventory, supplier relations, and cost control.
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of G-code programming, multi-axis CNC mills/lathes, and fixturing methods.
- Experience machining steel castings is a plus.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and shop floor documentation practices.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
