Materials Handler I - Full-time

Starting Wage: $18.00 an hour + $1.00 shift differential + overtime

Shift: 2nd shift, 11:00 am - 8:00 pm, Monday - Friday

What you will do: 

• Reads work order or pick tickets or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, moved, or processed 

• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, pallet jack, conveyor, or other material handling equipment 

• Loads materials into vehicles and installs banding and stretch wrapping to prevent shifting or damage in transit 

• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area 

• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet 

• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information or cases or containers 

• Packs and prepares cartons for shipping to customers 

• Ensures accuracy or order and security of packaging to avoid damage in shipment 

• Operate a pallet jack and forklift on a regular basis 

• Able to meet quality and productivity deliverables 

• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures 

• Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 6+ months of related warehouse or distribution experience 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 

• Ability to learn how to operate power equipment 

• Ability to read and understand written English 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 1+ years of related warehouse or distribution experience 

• Experience operating pallet jack, order picker, counterbalance, reach and turret trucks
