American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience and RDCS or CCI certification for a 26-week echocardiography lab assignment in Urbana, IL.

  • Echocardiography laboratory setting within an acute care hospital
  • \n
  • Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures
  • \n
  • Full range of cardiac diagnostic testing
  • \n
  • Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
  • \n
  • Rotational weekend shifts required
  • \n
  • Holiday coverage is negotiable
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience
  • \n
  • Associate's degree in Ultrasound required
  • \n
  • RDCS (ARDMS) or CCI certification required
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • \n
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • \n
  • Epic charting experience required
  • \n
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow
  • \n
  • License required if applicable
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory
  • \n
  • Critiques image positioning, technical factors, and alignment to maintain acceptable imaging quality standards
  • \n
  • Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness
  • \n
  • Cross-trains to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services
  • \n
  • Assists performing physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams
  • \n
  • Candidates who have been on assignment with this facility for 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the health system
  • \n
  • RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract period
  • \n
