Marine Mechanic - Now Hiring

We are seeking skilled Shipyard Mechanics and Maintenance Technicians to support shipbuilding, repair, and maintenance operations. The ideal candidates will have hands-on mechanical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a shipyard or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on shipyard machinery, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment.
• Inspect, service, and replace components on pumps, valves, motors, compressors, cranes, and other shipyard tools/equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation of machinery.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete tasks accurately.
• Follow safety protocols, OSHA standards, and shipyard policies at all times.
• Assist with mechanical installation, alignment, and testing during shipbuilding and repair projects.
• Document maintenance activities and report any hazards, issues, or needed repairs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mechanic, maintenance technician, or similar role (shipyard/industrial preferred).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces as required.
• Willingness to work overtime, shifts, or weekends as shipyard schedules demand.

Preferred but Not Required

• Shipyard, Navy, or industrial maintenance background.
• OSHA-10 / OSHA-30 certification.
• Forklift, crane, or heavy equipment operating experience.
• Welding, pipefitting, or fabrication knowledge.
