Job Description:
The Store Associate is the first friendly face you see when you walk into our dispensary. This role combines customer service, product education, and a strict adherence to legal and operational compliance. .
- Customer Service: Greeting customers, providing a welcoming environment, and guiding them through product selections based on their needs, preferences, and desired effects.
- Product Knowledge: Maintaining in-depth knowledge of various cannabis products (strains, edibles, concentrates, etc.), their effects, and methods of consumption to effectively educate customers on safe and appropriate use.
- Sales & Transactions: Operating a Point of Sale (POS) system, handling cash and debit transactions accurately, managing a balanced cash drawer, and meeting sales goals.
- Compliance & Legal Adherence:
- Verifying customer IDs to ensure they meet the legal age requirements.
- Ensuring all sales and job duties adhere to company standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as state and local laws and regulations.
- Accurately entering customer information into state-required tracking systems
Qualifications and Education:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a background check in order to obtain, and maintain, a Facility Agent card in accordance with Arizona State Department of Health Services requirements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the cannabis industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands.
- Frequently required physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
- Frequently stooping, bending, and reaching.
- Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
- Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
- Lift 25-50 pounds from the floor to a waist-high table when necessary.
- Crouch & bend often.
- Stand for short/high periods of time.
- Sit for short/medium periods of time.
- Walk for short/high periods of time.
- Occasionally sit on the floor or at floor level.
- Handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this position.
Certifications or Training Requirements:
- New Hire Orientation & Security Training – New Hire.
- Store Associate Training- New Hire.
- Cannabis Education course – New Hire.
- Additional annual or ongoing training as assigned by management.
- Maintain active Arizona Facility Agent Card – Biannual or as dictated by Arizona Department of Health Services.
