Carpenter Assistant

WeatherTech is seeking a qualified Carpenter Assistant to perform labor intensive roles for a variety of trades in varying capacities.

As a Carpenter Assistant you will

• Perform work and assist in a wide range of physically demanding construction tasks including framing and drywall, masonry and painting, insulation, flooring installation, and roofing
• Ensure a clean and safe work site
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools
• Prepare job sites including but not limited to digging trenches, setting braces for support, and erecting scaffolding
• Clean job sites including removal of waste
• Assist other craft workers
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualified Candidates will

• Have a minimum of 1-year related experience
• Be a team player with a good attitude and strong work ethic
• Be dependable, with excellent attendance
• Be able to use equipment and tools properly and safely
• Have some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work
• Handle/lift up to 50 lbs; carry ladders; work from heights; work in small crawl spaces
• Work near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that includes inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt 
• Be at least 21 years of age and possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment
• Perform manual work following verbal and/or written instructions
• Be an excellent performer; deliver high quality results consistently
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude
• Be able to work well with and motivate a team
• Be fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States
