Special Education Teacher - Full-time

Pathway, Inc is a residential facility that provides educational services to all students. We are looking for a knowledgeable teacher in special education. This teacher would join a small staff who are committed to providing a quality education and your responsibilities would include (but are not limited to):

· Providing instruction as outlined in the Alabama Standards for each grade level

· Ability to teach several core subjects across grade levels

· Provide quality-based IEPs for students identified with a disability

· Participate in staff meetings, Professional Development, and other meetings

· Provide quality lesson plans

· Communicate to all staff the students IEP goals, progress and struggles

· Provide specialized instruction

· Provide individualized instruction for all students

· Work collaboratively with other staff

· Other duties as assigned by administration

Requirements:

· Teacher certification by the state of Alabama (or able to transfer out of state certification)

· Pass a background and fingerprint check

· Will need to be CPR and Professional Crisis Management trained upon hiring (through Pathway, Inc)

· Experience is a plus, but not required
