Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) at a rural healthcare facility in Weaverville, California. This role involves performing advanced imaging examinations using all modalities, with a focus on CT procedures, supporting diagnosis and patient care in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team dedicated to providing quality diagnostic services.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an Accredited Radiology Program with an Associate of Science Degree; current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) licensure; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred; two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred; experience in at least two modalities; BLS Certification required; experience in a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility may substitute for acute care experience.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide patient care based on physical, psychosocial, educational and safety criteria, appropriate to the age of the patient.
- Able to perform duties with minimal supervision, demonstrate effective communication skills, and maintain proper documentation and confidentiality.
- Ability to react quickly and efficiently in emergency situations and equipment breakdowns.
- Willingness to participate in CQI monitoring, handle call responsibilities, and adapt to staffing needs including weekends and holidays.
- Responsible for ensuring proper safety standards and departmental compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ability to adjust contrast media appropriately for different age groups and use shielding effectively.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and ensure a safe working environment.
