Position Summary
This position is from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team of outstanding educators. Experience working with infants though pre-k age groups is highly desired. Our teachers coordinate the daily operations of their classrooms, plan and evaluate educational activities, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum Requirement: CDA or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Preferred Qualification: Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Must meet background check eligibility.
- Prior experience in a licensed childcare center.
- Completion of state-mandated preservice training.
- Knowledge of State Licensing, Texas Rising Star (TRS), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and/or Cognia standards is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for classroom and child safety needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes all areas of development.
- Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Use technology and iPad apps to document children's learning and milestones.
- Partner with families through regular communication and progress updates.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and positive redirection strategies.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and Goddard standards.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and administrative staff to uphold school policies and best practices.
