Valid or expired with ability to reinstate Delaware or out-of-state educator or teaching certification preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Familiarity with middle and high school curriculum standards and teaching strategies
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and parents
Experience with digital learning tools and classroom technology preferred
Provide subject-specific instruction in accordance with lesson plans, pacing guides, and curriculum objectives
Engage students in meaningful learning activities and discussions across various grade levels (6–12)
Maintain an orderly and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning
Assess student understanding through informal checks, quizzes, and assignments as applicable
Support student needs through differentiation, accommodations, and responsive teaching practices
Maintain communication with students, parents/guardians, and school staff as needed
Enforce school rules and classroom behavior expectations consistently
Participate in department or team meetings, professional development, and other school-related duties as requested
Adjust plans and instruction when necessary to address diverse student learning needs

The Woodbridge School District is accepting applications for substitutes who are interested in long term assignments.JOB SUMMARY:
The Secondary Long-Term Substitute will assume full instructional responsibilities for a middle or high school teacher who is on an extended leave of absence (10 days or more, typically six weeks or more). The substitute will provide instruction in the assigned subject area(s), manage classroom routines, and support student learning in alignment with school standards and curriculum. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong content knowledge, adaptability across grade levels, and a commitment to maintaining academic continuity for students in grades 6–12.The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and capable of maintaining a structured and engaging learning environment while adapting to the diverse needs of students.
