Movement gyms feature bouldering, top-roping and lead climbing, as well as amenities like yoga studios, functional fitness and cardio zones, childcare, and retail pro shops. Each facility caters to participants of all abilities – from competitive athletes to weekend adventurers and families. Presently, Movement is represented in greater Washington D.C., San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Fountain Valley, and Portland. Job responsibilities

Inventory Management

1. Receiving (Retail, Ops, Biz Supply)
2. Verify Package Contents and Entering into RGP
3. Manage Packing lists
4. Inventory Spot Count and RGP updates
5. Negative Inventory Check
6. Warranty and RTV Management
7. Investigating and Reporting Discrepancies
8. Back Stock upkeep

Order Fulfillment

1. Special Order Management
2. Rock Solid Promise Return Management
3. Processing and remerchandising used returns

Merchandising

1. Shop Cleanliness and Maintenance
2. Maintaining a featured product display
3. Walk through checks to communicate needs to the Front Desk
4. Stocking and Organization
5. Meetings with ADR about task priority and mentorship
6. Food/Drink
7. Ordering Food and Drink
8. Communicating needs with distributors
9. Maintaining inventory accuracy
10. Communicating with team about orders, choices, and challenges

Team training

1. Maintaining Retail expectations for Front Desk
2. Re-training and providing feedback for desk
3. Ad-hoc training for Retail updates

Job Requirements

1. Be passionate about climbing gear and self-motivated to acquire an in-depth knowledge of gear currently available
2. Able to work with infrequent direct oversight
3. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
4. Maintain a strong record of follow-through and effective communication
5. Passionate about climbing and the climbing community
6. Basic familiarity with Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word, and comfortable with math/data analysis

Additional information

1. Hourly, part-time position with potential to grow into full-time based on department success, starting at $14.50 hourly
2. Role will work approximately 5 - 8 hours per week, additional hours in other departments possible depending on qualifications. Can be combined with other roles.
3. Scheduled shifts that will vary week to week or month to month
4. Scheduling may include nights and weekends
