Collette is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern. This is a hybrid role based at our headquarters in Pawtucket, RI for 32 hours per week.

Job Summary: 

In this position, the selected Cybersecurity Intern will assist the security and operations teams in protecting Collette’s information systems, applications and data used by our global team of guided travel professionals and support staff. This internship is intended to provide hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, risk management, and compliance. The intern will support daily security tasks, help monitor systems for threats, and contribute to projects aimed at strengthening Collette’s security posture. This is a great opportunity to develop cybersecurity competencies and gain business acumen in a professional environment.

Primary Functions:

  • Monitor and analyze network and system activity for potential cybersecurity events. 
  • Respond to reported security concerns.
  • Support vulnerability scanning and patch management processes.
  • Conduct internal audits and threat assessments and report results.
  • Help maintain and update security documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with user security awareness initiatives and training programs.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams on access control and identity management tasks.
  • Apply academic knowledge while collaborating with security team members to complete a security-focused project.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and security principles.
  • Familiarity with security tools (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, SIEM) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact effectively with others.
  • Strong problem-solving, influencing, and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and competing demands.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

Hourly rate: $18.00/hr
