We’re looking for a passionate, creative Ceramic Art Instructor to join our growing team and help artists reach their full potential—both creatively and personally.
What You’ll Do
As an Art Instructor, you’ll play a key role in shaping an innovative, person-centered studio environment. Your work will include:
- Providing 1:1 instruction and mentorship to artists as they develop their skills and creative vision
- Collaborating with a supportive team to problem-solve teaching strategies and adapt instruction to individual learning styles
- Creating and leading new workshops and community-based art experiences
- Researching and coordinating local art events, exhibitions, and opportunities
- Supporting studio operations by assisting customers, documenting daily progress, and maintaining participant records
- Coordinating and facilitating annual participant meetings and required documentation

Position Details
Salary: $21/hour (guaranteed 37 hours/week) with range up to 40 Hours/week
Incentives and pay increases after 1 and on every odd year.
Schedule:
- Full-time, Tuesday–Saturday
- Tuesday–Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Saturdays: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Occasional evenings or weekends as needed for events
- (First month of training is Monday-Friday 8:00am- 4:00pm*)

Skills & Experience
- BA in Art or a strong background across multiple mediums (painting, drawing, digital art, mixed media)
- Experience in human services and/or teaching strongly preferred
- Familiarity with computers and Adobe Suite
- Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to break down concepts and teach at varying paces
- Actively practicing, professionally recognized artist preferred
Requirements
- BA in Art or related field (or equivalent demonstrated skill level)
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle registration
- Ability to pass a background check
