The Athletic Department at Keene State College is seeking applications for an Assistant Esports Coach for Varsity VALORANT. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with appointment dates from mid-January to mid-June. KSC Esports is a Varsity-level Esports program, competing in the Varsity Plus division of Playfly College Esports.

VALORANT Coach for Keene State College Esports; varsity member of PlayVS College League and current PCL Ranked 6 VALORANT Champions.

Job Duties:

• Prepare/Coach Keene State VALORANT team within PlayVS College League Ranked Play
• Hold two two-hour practice sessions and coach one weekly game within PCL during season

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma

• Demonstrated history of success in VALORANT, in matchmaking or organized play as a player or coach; understanding of the Collegiate Esports industry.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Digital organization

• Knowledge of VALORANT’s meta-game

• Flexibility in worked hours

• Ability to connect with a college-aged population

• Decision-making under pressure

• Emotional intelligence

• Creative problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or higher; 1+ years of Valorant, or general Esports coaching experience; active on social media such as X (formerly Twitter) and/or Twitch (or comparable content creation website.) Additionally, the College has identified desirable qualifications that support our commitment to creating and maintaining a diverse campus community including the ability to speak a second language or to bring a multicultural perspective to the campus

Compensation Pay Range:

$10.00 per hour
