Job Description
Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served North County’s coastal communities since 1978. We’re located at Santa Fe Drive and I-5, within walking distance of a park, fitness center, grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants.
\nScripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas’ campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center. We’re home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit.
\nNew Hire Incentive available up to $4,000 for those who qualify.
\nThis is a full-time position (80 hours per pay period) working varied 8-hour shifts, primarily day shift; however, flexibility to cover PM and overnight shifts may be required. The role requires scheduling flexibility throughout the week, including weekends, holidays, and participation in the on-call rotation with staff. This position is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

- Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter) \n
- Must remain in original department/specialty \n
- Must remain in original Job Title \n
- Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter. \n
Required Qualifications:
\n• ARRT(MR), ARMRIT, or CRT
\n • Completion of a venipuncture class. Certificate must be provided at the time of application; 10 successful sticks must be completed within 30 days of hire.
\n • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
\n • Completion of a formal training/educational program from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent education and experience in radiologic imaging obtained through a hospital-based training program or other formalized on-the-job training program, combined with current licensure/certification
\n • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an MRI Technician
\n • Experience working with multiple pacemaker programmers
\n • Experience performing MRI scans on patients with MRI Conditional pacemakers
\n • Experience scanning patients with other implanted electronic devices, including neurostimulators
\n • Experience reviewing implanted device documentation and identifying MRI conditions and requirements
\n • Experience appropriately clearing implanted devices for MRI scheduling in accordance with established protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
\n• Cardiac MRI experience
\n • Strong background in MRI safety; MRSO certification preferred
\n • Experience working with Siemens and Tesla MRI scanners
