AvtechTyee is searching for a Test Engineer 1 with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility.

You will be working in the electronics manufacturing team, supporting our continuous improvement efforts.


In this Role, you will be responsible for:

  • Build, test and troubleshoot breadboards and prototypes
  • Acquire all data requested accurately
  • Check and verify the correctness of all documents associated with a product
  • Write reports concerning development and test results
  • Perform environmental tests
  • Evaluate circuit performance and testing procedures
  • Derive, test and document corrective actions necessary to solve problems
  • Provide training to production workers to familiarize them with test procedures and product performance
  • Participate in improving manufacturing operations
  • Design and build testers if required
  • Support customers with installation and operation of new products if necessary
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What you’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 0-2 years' experience in electronics repair or testing
  • 0-2 years’ experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work with electronic test equipment and read schematics
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge and experience in a professional business environment
  • Better than average written and spoken communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship skills
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Strong focus and attention to detail
  • Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task in a complex business environment
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills


**Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position requires either a US Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non-US person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization**

 

The target wage/salary range for this role may be within $82k - $110k, depending on education and experience. We may look at a broader range for the right candidate.
