Job Description
PLC Paramedics – Field Service Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive base + bonus structure + full gear provided
About Us:
At PLC Paramedics, we specialize in fast-response, high-quality field service for automation and controls. We're known for getting boots on the ground same-day or next-day, solving problems that stop production in its tracks. As an authorized Omron service partner with deep expertise across Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other platforms, we pride ourselves on team collaboration, field composure, and a commitment to customer uptime.
We're not just fixing PLCs — we’re paramedics in the field, restoring life to industrial systems.
Who We're Looking For:
We’re hiring expert career-minded technicians, not clock-punchers. You thrive in the field, stay calm under pressure, and genuinely want to keep learning. You’ll never be left to struggle alone — we work as a team. Whether you’re chasing down a tricky relay issue or debugging ladder logic in a hot panel room, you communicate clearly, ask for help when needed, and follow through.
If you’re honest, proactive, and want to grow your career (not just collect a paycheck), you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and repair Industrial Automation and typically PLC-controlled systems across various platforms (Omron, AB, Siemens, etc.)
- Read and interpret schematics, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams
- Communicate with customers in high-pressure situations with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate via group text with fellow techs and engineers for real-time problem solving
- Participate in daily 7AM team huddles to share lessons and build knowledge
- Travel to customer sites — sometimes same-day — to restore system function
- Document service calls accurately, honestly, & professionally.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of field or hands-on automation/controls experience with a resume to prove it.
- Working knowledge of relays, contactors, VFDs, sensors, and PLC I/O
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Willingness to be coached, take feedback, and grow
- Valid driver’s license and comfort with local travel (& national travel when necessary)
- The ability to keep a schedule, complete paperwork daily.
We Provide:
- Laptop, tools, phone, and PPE
- Competitive pay with clear quarterly bonus structure based on your performance
- Frequent coaching and career development support
- A supportive team that wants you to succeed
- Paid time off, holidays, and generous work/life flexibility for strong performers
To Apply:
Send your resume (or a summary of your experience) to [info@plcparamedics.com].
PLC Paramedics is an equal opportunity employer. We believe in growing great people, not just great resumes.
Tagline:
We're not just techs. We're first responders for automation.
