Summary - basic function of the role
The Accounting/FP&A Intern will work on projects as identified by the business as well as assist in the daily operations of the finance team. Major responsibilities of this position include completing data analysis, tracking project status, reporting on project status, facilitating implementation and driving efficiencies, problem-solving or trouble-shooting project issues, work cross-functionally to execute tasks/activities, and escalate issues as appropriate.
Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00 - 5:00 pm, some flexibility is possible

Physical Demands
Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. Position may require travel due to opportunities for on-site MFG plant visits. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time.
Work Environment
Primary work environment is temperature-controlled office setting but may also be visiting different manufacturing facilities where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. Employee will be exposed to low levels of noise in the office and elevated levels of noise on the plant floor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Enerpac Accounting/FP&A Interns will work on multiple projects during their internship. These projects may include but are not limited to:
- OneStream Consolidation Software
- Annual planning and forecasting
- Audit activities
- Cross-functional projects related to budgets (i.e. working with Engineering, Marketing, IT, etc.)
- Beyond project work, Interns will also assist in the daily operations of the finance team. These activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Month-End Close Activities
- Customer Credit Review
- General support for other functions
- Perform variance analysis of actuals versus prior year results and forecast expectations
- Participate or attend with other interns in organizational activities such as:
- Executive Leadership Team Q&A sessions
- Training and knowledge sharing sessions of Enerpac products
- Community service activities (Hunger Task Force, United Way, etc)
- Team building events
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, as well as other Microsoft programs.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must be a self-starter and self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to influence others through reasoning and communication (written and oral).
- Ability to execute multiple tasks to deadlines.
- Able to manage confidential information.
Education and Experience
- Seeking a Bachelor Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Course work in finance and/or accounting.
- Previous experience in an office environment preferred.
