Position Overview: The Manager, Facility Credentialing is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end facility credentialing process across multiple states and healthcare facilities. This role manages the facility credentialing team and supports credentialing activities for Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and NPs, including initial hospital applications, reappointments, and document tracking. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and will be the primary point of contact for all new clients and facility credentialing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the credentialing and re-credentialing process, including completing applications, gathering documentation, ensuring accuracy, and tracking submissions.
- Oversee the credentialing software system (Intellicred), ensuring records are accurate, systems are up to date, and credentialing timelines are met.
- Maintain up-to-date records on practitioner licensing, TB screenings, certifications, start dates, and reappointment schedules.
- Communicate with practitioners to collect updated documentation, ensure compliance, and escalate recurring issues to leadership.
- Respond to practitioner and facility requests regarding credentialing information.
- Troubleshoot credentialing issues and delays related to applications, licenses, DEA renewals, malpractice insurance, etc.
- Complete malpractice applications and renewals, and ensure certificates of insurance are submitted on time.
- Lead weekly team meetings to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on practitioner credentialing status.
- Manage team performance by processing timesheets, handling PTO requests, and conducting annual performance evaluations.
- Act as the primary liaison for onboarding new clients and facilities, reviewing and communicating credentialing procedures.
- Support medical staff offices with verification processes by initiating communication as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior credentialing experience required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and management abilities.
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic workflow and meet deadlines.
